I got an update today.

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 14, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 19, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on February 13, 2018.

Please update my status on the sheet.

Did you receive an email or letter for "In Process" ?
Or it is just a status change that you checked manually and found out ?

It is automatic an update on E-cas and I didn't Receive any e-mail. Do we need to receive any kind of e-mail too?

No you don't receive e-mail for in process.

does anyone know if any checks are done in Sydney? I received AOR on Dec 21st, since then no update. I did phone the call center last week to correct an error on my postal code. The lady mentioned my application was still in Sydney.

I remember reading something about Sydney does some basic GCMS checks and then forwards the application to a local CPC.

Thank you @razerblade. Moving to Montreal for work in April and hoping I get test invite prior to that to avoid the hassle of requesting an office change.

In seriousness, I know there should not be trolling on this forum and all but a bit of humour never hurts. Especially during the stressful process of applications.

Ok, I'm finally thinking that checking my ECAS every 15mins isn't going to make it update any faster. What has become of my life!

Ok, I'm finally thinking that checking my ECAS every 15mins isn't going to make it update any faster. What has become of my life!

ECAS only updates once a day. Just check it in the morning and then at night. I try to check it just once in the morning.
