I think you should find out exactly what they are looking for, If they are looking for travel history like entry exit information than that is avilable on CBP's website, you can pull that out your self. I am hoping thats all they need. FOIA can take a while.

Hi Afarb,
Thank you for the info. From the MP office, we called cic but it was useless they said file not in system after MPs sec...y took my tracking and receipt no and emailed them. Hoping for something good.
Did you get the AOR by email ? If so, you won't be getting the book by regular mail. Your AOR email as well as ECAS should have a link where you can download the pdf or audio version, and order a physical copy free of cost, should you choose to. IRCC no longer sends a physical copy, unless you do not provide an email address on the application form, in which case they will send your AOR and Discover Canada by regular mail.

Edit: also would like to mention again that since your parents are > 55 years old, they are exempt from the test. Assuming they are being processed under bill C6 regulation.
I'm certain that they stopped doing that. I've been tracking applications since October, including mine and have the same message om my ECAS. Never got a physical copy.
That message simply means that they send you a link to download it, or you can order a physical copy if you like,
