FYI:
"
To those who cannot link their application to their account in CIC.
I just called the CIC while having my application open on the screen. While talking to them I asked to lead me through the answers. And it appeared, that the spelling of the city of birth is different on the file, not the same as on the forms that we submitted with the application. Why is it different? I have no idea.... The guy on the phone said that wrong spelling of the city of birth and wrong number of people on file (the last question on the form) are the most common issues.
In my case, number of ppl on file is 4 (apparently adults only: my husband and I + my parents). And after the guy gave me the correct spelling of the city of birth I finally could link my application."

Thank you for your share. It indeed gave me the hint to link my application.
I just successfully linked my parent's application to my account. here's what I did
1. Choose Application Number and Family name
2. Enter Family name: ALL CAP
3. You mentioned CIC have specific requirement on name of city born (this sounds very stupid..)so I just skipped it and entered applicant's passport information instead.
4. City to be reside: w/e on my application
5. Number of people: all sponsors and applicant and dependant (applicants')
Also I have a Question, I still havent receive official SA notification but able to link the application and in fact my parents has a UCI number now.
Does this mean they are technically SA ?

I don't think so, you should have File# F000....If you could link ur application you can see ur file # - first line, above UCI,if not - no SA yet
/cause everybody has UCI # if they come to Canada visiting you/

Thats ok. My circumstance is that my Ecas changed to show my parents name as sponsored person a week ago and today I am finally be able to link my application and finds out both of them are given UCI# (They never been to Canada) so I assume I am technically SA.
Is my assumption correct ?
by the way, my Ecas changes from nothing to application received about a month before I received the official AOR back in December. That is why I am making the assumption for SA
Hi, Thanks for the latest steps for linking application. I am able to link my application now.
In my application it's saying your action is required? but i don't see anything there. is this common or i am missing something here.

I have the same message as well and I assume the action is for you to review ?
However since this is my first access as well I cant tell you if this is common and I do hope someone experienced can give us some advice.
Also, do you have official SA yet and when did you receive AOR ?
