I have a question, may be someone has an answer. I need a criminal record check for my mom from Kazakhstan, I wasn’t asked yet by IRCC, but it took me 4.5 months to get it and it’s in Russian. Do I need to translate it? And how long is it valid for? Should I reapply again, just in case if it will be expired?

You need to translate it for sure. I don't know about Russia but most of the country issues for 6 months, you can double check though

Hi Guys,
I need to change my Address. Can any one tell me how to change address and how many places?
I did try in ecase where it displays your address once your enter your info. but when i checked again it wasn't change.

You must report any changes to your address, telephone number(s) and email address immediately to CIC. Please note CPC-Mississauga does not process address changes/updates. Once an application is in process at our office, changes to your address should be made through our online service at www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/change-address.asp. Failure to provide a current or correct address may result in delays in the processing of your application.

My country is Ukraine. Miss received 22 nov. 2017.
So, I have wait for SA. How was it in your case?

I just want to share some new change in my Ecas and hoping people who officially gotten SA can confirm if your Ecas shows same information.

My application received to CPC-M in Aug 3 and I'm still waiting for official notification of SA. This morning I tried to link my application again and as always the attempt failed. However I then logged into my Ecas and noticed there is major change in the interface.

Before the interface only had 2 major infomformation

1. Sponsorship Application Status - under this my name is listed
2. Permanent Residence Application Status - Application Received

Now apparently Applicants' name is added as sponsored person like below

1. Sponsored Person: Name of applicant
2. Sponsorship Application Status - Application Received, Sponsored persoon: Name of applicant
3. Permanent Residence Application Status - Application Received

I tried. Application number / Family name - tabbing through passport and entered all information include family size (sponsor + applicant + dependant)
not working ..

But some one on the similar forum, told me that no need of medical (for my father) in case he is non accompanying.
Because I am sure he will not be able to pass medical and thats why I am not applying him along with my mother application

BOTH parent have to pass the medical test even if he is not accompaning
because from a cic point of view, if your father does not get a medical test, and then you mother gets her permanent residency, then she decides to sponser him, he will be a spouse and not a parent and therefore will not be assessed under the rule "A foreign national might be found medically inadmissible to Canada if their admission might reasonably be expected to cause excessive demand on health services or social services provided by the government."
so cic assesse both parents medically even though only one parent is going to come to canada

no kids, just adult
so sponsor + parents
try 2 or 3
last name like in application incl. upper letters

You have to wait for the the SA. The SA letter/email from CIC need to be included with your undertaking application with MIDI Québec.

Hopefully you can help me with this....


My Dad is in Colombia and we got invite to apply and all CIC in Bogota contacted us and has now requested some pictures and documents and for us to get an FBI police check for my dad. My dad lived in the US illegally for more than six months back in the 90s (we declared all this in the application)...Fast forward to now....The FBI police check takes approximately 16 weeks to be processed plus mail time.

My question is this... If i email the CIC office that requested the FBI document and i tell them that i may take up to 16 weeks, would they our application?
