Is it better to submit a visitor extension right before I submit my OWP and PR app, or should I just rely off OWP implied status. I hear if you get the extension before and then apply for the OWP/PR after, you get to keep your visitor status if your OWP is denied.
It depends when your visitor status is set to expire. If your status will expire while you are waiting to receive AOR, it is good to apply for an extension as a safety net in case your OWP app is returned.

The restoration of status is what you would need if you didn't apply to extend your visitor status, your visitor status expired while waiting for your OWP and then your PR/OWP app was retuned to you.
You don't want to run the risk of putting yourself out of status. You should do everything you can to maintain a legal status at all times. For $100 or so..it's not worth the chance.

Oh ok, thanks.
Just curious if it safe to apply for a OWP while applying inland? Just curious if they get denied a lot, or for what reasons they are denied
Oh also very important. I am planning on submitting my PR and OWP in late-ish May. My visitor status expires June 15th, if I extend May 15th (even though my extension won't be accepted by the time they recieve the PR/OWP) can I still be granted a extension of visitors status? I'd notify them I am sending out a PR about a week after I submit the extension. Thanks

You can only submit an OWP with inland app, not sure what you mean by safe...don't think they are ever denied as long as the sponsorship app is complete and gets an AOR.
If your visitor status doesn't expire until June 15th, you would do better to try get the sponsorship app/owp in asap so you don't even have to worry about extending your visitor stay...get it in by end of March and you should have your AOR before your status expires....worse case it gets returned or AOR takes longer then extend stay in June.

You can send your PR app in at end of May then extend visitor status after if you want as you have until June 15th to do so. You will likely get AOR and implied status from the OWP app before your visitor status is even processed, but worse case and the pr app is returned you have safety net of the visitor extension.

Back in November I applied for my second visitor extension, it was accepted within 4 days, my first one in March took 3 months, was I just lucky or do they accept requests much faster the second /third time around
