What does DM on sponsorship Application status on ecas (sponsors side) mean? it changed today. It still says Application received on PA side. No request for medical yet.

It means they have made a decision regarding sponsors eligibility to sponsor his/her spouse. This is the first part-when sponsor is approved cic moves the file to the visa officer to review the applicants file You will get a letter on the decision ( approval or refusal) soon via email. Let us know when u get it so i can update the spreadsheet.

Alhamdulillah Rukhsati and valima are done. I was told by the lawyer to get the police verification certificate for my wife but he said no need for upfront medical. Is this correct that we don't need to do medical?

Hi gang - I have a question. Actually a few...

Once my application has been transferred to LVO, what exactly is done with it? What takes them 11 months to process? Is it the background check? How exactly do they conduct a background check? Someone told me once that they actually send someone to your village/town in Pakistan to check you out. That can’t actually be true, can it?

Yes. Not upfront. They'd request it to you later on.

Can you plz change the date formate in the spread sheet with year also in it DD-MM-YY? And make it as 01-Jan-17

it will help to identify the year of dm without downloading the sheet. Thanks in advance

Hi Need some genuine advise My wife in Pakistan (Karachi) going to change her last name as my name (husband name) on her CNIC and Passport (which i have already submitted along with her Sponsorship Application on July 18th, 2017). So LVO has her NIC and Passport copies already but her last name is her father's name as of today.
It's been now more than 5 months and her Sponsorship application is sitting with LVO now.
Now if she changed her last name to my name (her husband name), I am going to send Certified copies of her new CINC and Passport indicating her new last name (last name changed from her father's name to my name).
Would you think it's ok to do it now? Would it delay the process of her overall application process?
LVO can raise a question why it took me so many months to change her last to her husband name?
also what is the guarantee that LVO would received her new CNIC and New Passport copies and her file may never have her new copies of CNIC and Passport? What if LVO haven't received her copies and issue her immigration on her old name and old Passport?
Please advise as she is ready to change her name and this is totally her decision not mine

Since u are a July applicant, you still have time but dont send it very late otherwise thr processing of ur app may be delayed. Make new passport and cnic and send it via email and courier to LVO address. Add a cover letter with both explaining why she is changing now. It usually takes them 25-30 days to add a new doc to ur file.

My opinion is to leave it as it is for now, as the risks involved are already mentioned by you.
There is a whole lifetime to change her last name to you.
LVOs are mostly packed and pressed with schedule, it's better not to give them a new reason to delay your app by verifying new material
