My criminality check was started at the end of February before it got transferred to the VO (still in progress) and my security had not been started as of the end of November. There is no rhyme or reason in how they do the background check!

Im losing mine as baby is coming any day now lol but VERY grateful to be with my husband. His mom arrives saturday from the dominican too!!

Typically refers to the date the application is received in order to lock in the age of the applicants and dependents (i.e. if you had a dependent who was 18 on the day you submitted your application, their age would be "locked in" at 18 throughout the entire duration of processing even if they turned 19 while the app was processing or before they landed)

I find it strange for us that our security is done which takes longer normally and that the criminality which should be done earlier is not started is it because they still waiting or just officer to review results and approve is lazy and have no time for us. As now is clear criminality is reason if delay even I gave them clean police records

“Information sharing”..i googled and googled and searched this site to no avail. I know what it is, but at what stage is it completed? At missisauga or visa office? And if at the visa office is it part of the background check?
