This late in the game. yes it would likely slow down since they wouldn't just approve yours without running checks on your spouse.

Hi all,
May 22nd applicant... in Canada since 2012...
Lawyer called me this morning... got ppr dated dec 8th.... Since I'm going home this Friday 15th, she requested extension using my tickets... she said that it takes 20 working days to get an anwser and they already sent acknowledgement of receipt. She also said that by then I will be already back in Canada and that I shouldn't worry!
I will post, later on, my landing experience!
Good luck to you all!
