Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding mother's name mismatch. My mother's name is mentioned without surname on my passport as well as on my birth certificate. While she uses her surname everywhere in her documents. So her passport (she is going to apply for paaaport this week) will have her given name plus her surname. Can anyone suggest if that would create any issue for visa? What are the options and what can we do from our end to avoid any issues. Thanks

2. In application form, there is a section to mention other names, put old name in this section as well.

Just to clear that my mother always used her given name plus surname. So all her documents have the complete name. Its just a fault in my documents that her name is always mentioned only as given name in my entire documentation.
In this case i hope an affedavit would clear the confusion. Thats why i haven't let her apply for her passport yet so that if required , we can remove her surname while apllying for her passport by publishing name change in the newspaper - procedure for name change in Punjab india so that mine as well her passport have the name match.
Kindly suggest and thanks again for your help..

Exactly same situation I had. I consulted with immigration lawyer/agent and he recommended me affidavit with all this details. So I attached affidavit with my file. I think affiliated should be good. My case did't go through yet, So please make sure with few other members too.

Check everywhere, I had 2 mail , 2 email and they contact me like parents representative . I put my email for sponsor and applicant as well
Also they can send IME request to applicant directly

shouldn't take too long as i seen all the timeline ,now a days will takes only 1 year

first of all you need to win PGP lottery
second, it takes approx 0.5-3 years so far

Can see the status in ECAS now as "application received", no AOR yet. Used receipt number

Hi All,

since September 8, 2017 that my timeline changed to: medical results have been received and on September 13,2017 we submitted PCC/Form 5562 ( travels ) via email. Why I didn’t receive any email about medical results passed????? In timeline shows people approved in one month.
Please help....
