I also lost all hope for this year.
But do you think that in junary they will complete all what they missed one time. I mean , in last years , is junary the month where they were lots of of DM and PPR ?
We with NDVO are 9 applicants who have completed their medicals in the last week of December'2016 and in the First, Second week of January'2017. Furthermore we already are in the 17th-18th month of processing time.
What is going to happen with our files?
What can we expect next!!!
What's preventing CIC from processing applications till it meets it's upper limit of 27200?
Nothing, but it doesn't look like Ottawa is speeding up... Unless the dam really breaks this week.

What's the percentage of people that have already left for vacation at your office? My USA office is working at 95% capacity. CIC Ottawa is no different any other US/Canadian work place. Most people will go on vacation in last week of Dec and that's when things will really slow down. Until then please do not lose hope.

We are trying our best to not lose hope. But it feels like you are putting a carrot dipped in honey and put infront of a donkey and make if run while there is not certainty that the donkey will get it... Bcz some of us Applied on October 2016, done medical in February 2017, got Pre-arrival service msg couple of weeks ago but still no DM or PPR... I am feeling like that poor donkey now!!!!!!!

Well, to deliver some positive news, I can tell you all that I went to the US border (Lacolle) on Sunday to get a work permit and I think these are good days to go do paperwork there if needed, because everyone's Xmas shopping and not weekend travelling. There was hardly any traffic and I spent less than 30 minutes going out, coming back in and getting my papers!! I was there around 5:30-6 p.m. It will be the same process for me to do the landing for PR in due time, so now I know how it is done

If you are comparing work & services b/w US and Canada they are as similar as chalk & cheese... in most govt jobs in Ottawa official working hrs are 37.5 and that's official so you can imagine quantum of throughput when they actually work...
From last 2-3 weeks we haven't seen single DM on forum... even GCMS of most of the applicants are same ... so i don't see any reason to believe things will change in coming days...
also there ,must be some threshold or quota in place in background which is causing delays and definitely CIC is aware about it that's why they r changing processing timelines frequently...
That moment when you realise your medical examination will expire in less than 4 months..........

I’d love to.
But I hope they’ll ask for it before my 90th birthday.
