am currently on visitor visa in Canada and have submitted my inland application for spousal sponsorship and open work permit-acknowledged by CIC on 28/08/2017. I would like to know if I can exit Canada for two weeks without any impact to my application.
Also is it required to exit the country in 6 months on visitor visa while waiting for work permit/PR.
Can anyone tell me how long it takes for an inland application to be approved. I applied on November 1, 2016. I did have to send some other docuements. That was a couple of weeks ago.
Flagpole = border run. With some permits and with your PR card I know you have to exit then re enter the country to activate it, at immigration they stamp your passport and such. Im wondering if we have to do this with the OWP but seeing as it already says active and has a beginning date, I am assuming that we do NOT have to do a border run... if anyone can confirm this I would appreciate it though!

This is a tricky question for sure. The best answer is ultimately that given by the agent working your file but we can estimate that your processing time is 26 months but most applicants in your timeline seem to be getting their files concluded within 15 months so only time and patience can help.

After 7th of December 2016 a new process was introduced which provides "faster" way to get PR approved. From what you said you are under the old process of obtaining PR. The new process is for applicants who applied after December 2016 and it is 12 months at this moment. I am not sure about the old process.
i need help guys or explanation. Yesterday i was checking mycic. nothing same old same old. after few hours i checked back again to notice UPDATED under details section. SO i clicked on check messages but there was no update?

im a July 14 applicant and I haven't received mine yet, its frustrating for me seeing Aug applicants receiving theres. Ive made many calls to cic and they have no answers, they just say you have to wait, and don't give you any explanation on why it hasn't been approved by 4 months or to what the status is. The agents you speak to also have no direct contact with the visa offices of where its being processed from.
