I only received email of SA approval email. I haven't received any other information. ECAS just states application received and no other details so don't know those details.

Insurance is required for super visa only not for sponsorship. They will be eligible for health benefits similar to other landed immigrants. However, they can not apply for social assistance until 20 years, that's where you come in since you promised to support them financially.

you need to buy insurance for first 3 mon, then they will get OHIP

@YULIA-2016 Thanks. It was such a pleasant miracle for us. We weren't expecting this to happen. It was my Father and Mother in law in the first round and my father and mother in the second round. So all 4 parents..

Last year by the end of October Ottawa already sent out medicals to many people.

In 2016, there was no lottery system. All Applicants received the AOR in Feb. In 2017, applicants name were announced in April-May. Hence add the delays of 4 months to 2016 timeline.
