As per 2016 & 2017 spreadsheet , all interview dates are between May to Dec. Is this means that we have to wait till May, 2018 for interview please say No.

I dont work in LVO so i cant say how long you will have to wait.

Is getting your original documents back from LVO a good sign? I just wanna be sure before I start jumping with joy cause that’s the only update I’ve gotten in 8 months and it sounds like something that would happen near the end of the process...

It is. It means they no longer require it and you will receive DM/PPR soon.

Hi, can someone please tell me how to get an explanation letter from mosque?

We didn't provid pictures of the groom signing nikah nama because he signed it at the mosque while the bride signed it a home (pics provided of that).

What would be the format of the letter and who has to sign it? Is it written on any paper or has to be an affidavit?

If mosque has letterhead and/or stamp then use that. Affidavit is important.

Signing of Nikah Nama for both PA and Sponsor is the key requirements of Canadian Immigration. Before submitting your file for spousal sponsorship, one should do their complete home work, check all the requirements from Immigration Canada. even in checklist it is clearly stated Photos of your wedding which includes signing of Wedding certificate (Nikha Nama). MM345 already responded to your query so go for it. An affidavit from Masjid Qazi who held your Nikah should issue you a detailed letter on masjid letter head or on affidavit. Please don't make your case more complicated for your own mistakes which can be easily avoided if we all do our homework and review all the requirements again and again.

Some more detail: Our nikah took place a day before our wedding reception. My husband signed his nikah nama at mosque but no one took a picture there (our fault) as it all happened in a rush however my pictures at home were taken while signing. After the signing ceremony we had a nikah gathering of around 60 people at home where my husband came as well and we all took group photos of that day.

I have attached receipt of nikah dinner as well as we had the event catered.

The next day we had a huge wedding reception plus rukhsati event of 700 guests. And then Valima Reception afterwards of 500 guests. We had some real nice events but unfortunately just missed my husband signing the nikah.

Once we started with the file we found out that we have to provide nikah signing photographs and were worried that we missed it. So we provided my pictures explaining why we don't have his pictures. Now we don't know yet if they'll ask us as our process just barely started but we want prepare a mosque letter too.

People who dont provide NN signing pictures are asked to provide those by LVO unless LVO finds their explanation sufficient. In that case an applicant must provide explanation of the circumstances and provide proof that their Nikkah actually took place (letter of confirmation from the Qazi). The Qazi should be the same whose name and cnic appears on your NN. You can attach the letter with a cppy of NN as an added proof.
