day 17 since i paid rprf no change in " not applicable".......... i dont get it............. this wait is murderous

dear dairy inhabitants of this realm are very complex and puzzling, each day with sunrise they log in to cic account and watch the screen . their eyes are filled with hope . the eyes anticipate the nature (personified by cic) to intimate them with migration instinct . the unchanging account status is unnerving and puts many into desperate depression. few those who get the much awaited green .. proudly announce it to rest of the community and jump into glee and anxiety of upcoming travel and change.. although the desperation feeling of left behind are prominent , remaining members of the herd congratulate the leaving members. this phenomenon of despair in one eye and smile in other is remarkable

Hurray!! Got the PPR today! I'm still in shock state as I'm prepared to wait for 4 months. Thought of taking a bit of rest for couple of months after all the running for IELTS, PCC, Medical, PR application submission, but seems CIC has other plans.

FSW - O from India. No Canadian Degree or Canadian work experience.

We all expect the PR process to take 3-4 months. CIC work is beyond our thinking. For some they take few days but for some months. Just hoping for the positive development of PR process for all applicants and waiting for PPR.

Yes that’s right. Any idea why the process takes less than a month for some, and up to a year or even more for some other applicants? In the Iranian forums, it is believed this is because of long and exhausting background check and security screening for certain nationalities such as Iranians.
Anyway, this is totally unfair to keep some applicants waiting for about a year or even more. This long process even applies to the applicants who have been working or studying in Canada for couple of years, and therefore their security checks must logically be much less time-consuming. I really don’t understand what CIC is doing

Hi All,

Here is my Timelines:
Category: FSW- O
AOR: 27th Oct
MP: 1st Nov
IP1: 2nd Nov
NA2: 8th Nov. Since than background check is NP.

Over the weekend , I wrote to CIC and for my surprise, got the following reply "
Please note that your application is currently at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia and has not yet been transferred to a local visa office"

Appreciate your guidance that my application is still at initial stage of IP1.

Isn't the application should be at LVO as BC is NP.
