Every other Visa Office is processing DM’s and PPR’s except NDVO for the past month! Has anyone ordered gcms notes lately or done a MP (Member of Parliament) inquiry?

Looking at the 2016 NDVO thread; NDVO is way behind this year! April Applicants were almost done by last November and NDVO had started May Applicants in December!

I did the MP inquiry and he said your file is in line for final review and decision.I dont know how long they will be taking for that.

Yeah, I totally get it. It just feels like NDVO has stopped working on the applications and it is completely silent. There used to be a pattern till September and we knew that albeit there is a wait period, the applications were done in a given timeline. Now all the collected data and patterns don’t make any relevance. We feel completely stuck too. They said we are at final review and no one can explain the hold up. I see a lot of people losing their patience rightfully as processing at NDVO seems totally accidental. God bless us all and hope we all come out in one piece.

I applied for my wife in April and the file transferred to NDVO on July 25. We haven't heard anything from them since then.I was expecting that everything will be done by October,but now I am losing hope.I even booked her flight ticket for January 25th.
Now I am thinking about applying for a visiting visa for her.I know the chances for approval is very low. Anybody else applied? If the application got refused, will it affect her PR application? Any thoughts?

Applying for TRV will not affect PR application in any way. Not even rejection. It can only affect if there is any misrepresentation/difference in TRV application and PR application like some misleading info.
