Oh so you got married about a year ago..you didn't consider sponsoring right away ?

I sponsored as right away as I could lol. Tried in March file came back with some errors, missed a few things on a couple of forms. Then resent application in April. I got married on Dec 24th and applied on April 05.

so going to the MP was a waste of time! Just called to let me know eligibility, security and criminality are 'pending' whatever that means! So I told her that was not helpful at all, as I knew this already. got the usual responses, its too early, not every file is the same, there is a queue, blah blah blah! I just wanna drown myself in the pool of my tears! I don't know how you guys did it, some of you who did for years and are still stuck in this limbo. I just wanna be with him already thinking of ordering my notes again right now, even though last order will be arriving in a couple of weeks time.

I got the same kind of response from the rep of my MP a couple of weeks ago. Feeling disappointed i asked about MP's impact on immigration cases and according to the MP office there is none. So basically they give the Immigration Ministry in Ottawa a call and ask about a case, the people in the ministry can read/have access to the 'notes of the immigration officers' of every case, and that is all they do; get the information and pass it on. We refer to these notes as GCMS notes. Also the MP office said they inquire about every immigration case every 03 months, and if they find anything new they will let me know. So basically it was a complete waste of time.

LVO asked me the pictures of rukhsati and walima ... i have the pictures of rukhsati and all other barat pictures signing the nakkah pictures but i dnt have the pictures of walima because we were planed to do a walima in canada after getting a visa... i dnt know know what to do plz helpp..

They are super annoying like what if people don't want to do a walima or whatever. So many people I know of simply do one wedding function and there's no concept of barat or walima or even ruksati. It's pretty stupid of them to do that.

That will be nice. I visited him in April/May. Was kind of hoping we could spend winter break together in Canada. Truth be told I looked at flight tickets in October nothing less than $3 grands. Just can't cough up that money so fast considering I went in Dec 2016 for our wedding and then in April.

In Mid January 2018 PIA rates are very low. But hoping by that time, your hubby will be here Insha Allah

Thats right. I called my MP Office too. actually MP never talk to us directly but their staff or a Rep. I was told the same thing.
"LVO reviewing the eligibility of your wife case and i will follow up again with LVO in Feb 2018." But he added there might be a chance of your wife's interview. so do you think he is reading the notes of my wife's file rather calling LVO and talking to visa officer if MPs' or their staff has access to our files / notes? and at this time a Visa officer already scheduling my wife for an interview? and that's where MP rep find the information from notes?

Yes write them a detailed letter and explained to them, that you intend to do Walima in Canada when your spouse will arrive in Canada and only Wedding was held. These LVO Immigration Officers..have done their PHD. on ISlAMIC Marriage Laws..

oh ok.. they already shutdown from Karachi to Newyork i believe. but Jan is not too far and Kinza Bee can plan for Jan 2018 to meet her hubby if he hasn't got his visa.. sorry to Kinza Bee
