Judging and laughing at polygamy is judging and laughing at God's law. It may not leave a good taste in anyone's mouth, but people have their reasons and it's quite pompous to assume no one could have a legitimate reason for being in that situation. Granted most people don't have a good reason these days, but that doesn't mean we can paint everyone with the same brush.

Some time in life such situation comes that it looks a joke but it was a bitter reality.
Let me explain the scenario in more detail to have clear understanding and precious advice.
1. Principal applicant's application of immigration is in process with CIC along with his first wife (as dependent)
2. Meanwhile the couple had misunderstandings and now want to separate i.e. principal applicant wants to divorce her first wife and wants to do second marriage (Case type-1).
I think it is simple case. Here principal applicant need to submit the divorce certificate and second marriage certificate to CIC office to exclude/stop her first wife's case to process further and to include/start her second wife's case to process.
3. The second scenario is that the couple had misunderstandings and they started to live separately and the principal applicant got second marriage (as per their religion husband can have more than one wife simultaneously) before divorcing his first wife (Case type-2)
Here in case-2 there is confusion that principal applicant WILL divorce her first wife but he already HAS done second marriage and wants to bring his second wife in Canada so how he will include his second wife's case in his current existing file.
The apprehension is that the visa officer will object that how you got second marriage without giving divorce to first wife but same is allowable in his religion and may not be acceptable in Canada or other religion.
Thanks in advance for better understanding and your kind expert reply.
if you apply with your current scanerio your whole application will be rejected by Canada Immigration. whaterver your situation would be with you first wife it is your personal matter, but you shouldn't be marrying again (2nd time) without giving divorce to your first wife and wait to get your Divorce certificate from relevant Union Council after confirming divorce date on Divorce certificate which should be at least 90 days from the date you have given divorce to your first wife, then you can marry again. If you did marry again with your 2nd wife, then hold on bro, don't send your 2nd wife info to Canada Immigration. Your 2nd wife will stuck in Pakistan forever!! Before even going for 2nd marriage you should have check all the rules and reguulation of canadian immigration on cases like yours. You may want to take legal advice now
Hello, I recently got married and my wife is sponsoring me from Canada, while checking out the documents check list, I found this question unanswerable.
Q) Provide at least 2 of the following (check which items you are providing):
1. Important documents for you and your spouse showing that you are recognized as each other's spouse (such as employment or insurance benefits)
2. Documentary evidence of financial support between you and your sponsor, and/or shared expenses.
3. Other proof that your relationship is recognized by your friends and/or family (e.g. Letters from friends/family, social media information showing a public relationship, etc.).
Since we got recently married and she is living in Canada, while I am living in Pakistan, I can't provide the proof of first 2 options. Is there anyone who gone through same case? How should I answer this question? I have planned to move Canada once I get the PR.

2. i have none so i did not show any. my whole family and parents are in canada so my wife lives with her parents so they are taking care of her expenses.
3. i showed facebook screenshots of status change married and also screenshots of my engagement announcement and wedding data announcement along with the messages left by friends on the status updates

Hi guys. I just got my GCMS notes and I have questions.....
Just background: The application is for my wife who is in Pakistan. My BCG check started Sept 13.
Eligibility is passed in notes (VO is satisfied with marriage. Elig passed. File thinned). And criminality is passed too based on the PCC we provided in March. Security is in process I think (anywhere their is security, it is whited out so not much info). BUT what I am really worried about.... On first page of notes, it says a group name and group #. The group name is "Nov 30 - FCP". What does this mean? Is my wife in interview queue?
In mycic, it says interview not required and we have received no communication either. Nothing in the notes since Sept 13 so it hasn't been touched since then.

Maybe that group number means that files of these group have to be completed by 30th Nov. Group number for interviews in Islamabad is always 1-78XHOYD.
Maybe that group number means that fikes of these group have to be completed by 30th Nov. Group number for interviews in Islamabad is always 1-78XHOYD.
My group number is slightly different. Same format but different numbers after the dash.
I have been looking at the notes more closely and under "Application Assignment" on page 2, under assigned to and assigned by its the same visa officer's code. And due date is mentioned as 2017/11/30. So I am guessing it is exactly like you said. The visa officer will open the file again at that date and if security is passed, he will issue DM/PPR. There is no reason for my file to be in interview so this is what makes sense.
I was expecting a DM/PPR any day..... but at least I know that I should expect an update around November 30 now.... Now why can't this information be communicated directly on mycic???? It helps sooooo much to know where your file is exactly.
If there is anyone else who got their notes after their BCG started (and not received PPR yet), lets compare this group name thing. It will help us all in this waiting game for PPR.....
