I sent my application with Canada post July 25th and It's delivered on July 26th but still I've got nothing from CIC and I can not check the status with letter number neither, could you please tell me how some of you are able to check the status? how can I get the confirmation number? I've been invited at the first round.
any help would be appreciated...
You can check status at the link below using the payment receipt (IMM5401). Seems they started working on applications sent after 7/19 so you should expect AOR in a few days.
My application was also delivered on Jul 21st and i could see ecas status as Application received, and yesterday they have added my mother's name as dependent in ecas.
but still no AOR yet

Acknowledgment Of Receipt. An AOR indicates that the Canadian consulate, embassy, or high commission, has received your application for permanent residency and has issued a case file number for the application submitted

Thanks for the reply, I tried that but still It didn't show the information, so I called this number "1-888-242-2100 then press 2, 1, 3 then 0" (thanks to one of you guys that put this number here ), and after 40 minutes waiting I could talk to the agent and she could find my application but in pending state which it means so far they've done nothing on it also I tried that pending application number through online tool but it didn't show the status either. the lady said once they start working on it they will send the AOR letter.

Thank you for your reply, Yes, this is how I know it has been delivered (by using canada post tracking number) then I can see some people here have got AOR from CIC but I haven't got anything and that's my concern whether I need to call their office?
Oh I see your dilemma now. Happened to my parents too. Sent their file May 5 received another request for additional docs last week of July while everybody else was in their 2nd stage. Felt scared that they didn’t received the file but I saw the electronic signature of R. Mahmoud. Turns out they probably viewed our documents last because they asked us to submit a new form they just updated July 2017. Just hang in there. You’re going to get a reply from them soon.
I understand your frustration but most rules made by governmental organizations barely take into account the emotional aspect. Although you do consider your in-laws as parents (which is awesome) but IRCC calls it "Parental Sponsorship" not "In-Law Sponsorship" for a reason.
You can be the co-signer but not the sponsor for your in-laws. As for, why is it this way? I don't think anyone (except the person or committee that came up with it) could provide a concrete answer other than that's how the rules have been made.
Good luck & all the best![/QUOTE]
I think there is a very simple answer for that. The blood stays forever, in-laws can be broken in any minute.
Has anyone uploaded Police Certificates to MyCic? I have been trying to upload them today but it is asking for Expiry Dates and there are no Expiry Dates on the Certificates.
Certificates are from UK
