Anyone here who submitted photos in Sept? Just want to see when Sept photo submissions start getting processed...

Timeline: Landed July 27
Photo Re-Do request: Sept 22
Photo Received by CIC: Sept 28

no , usually on you first entry you are not yet a permanent resident so the officer processing your first entry have the right to deny you access and permanent residency . i dont think it is a good idea to show you have no intention to reside although it is just a short trip back home.

Thanks. Is there any form / slip one needs to fill-in at the port of entry to declare the duration of the stay? Or, is it just something IO might ask in some cases?

it took less than 10 days. but make sure to follow instruction starting here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5529ETOC.asp and write a letter explaining you have the Residency obligation and you can still make the 730 days.

no you have the right to go in and out . you dont need to commit on dates when you go out or in.

Landed 8th July 2017 we got picture request on the 31st aug sent them that day . Got to them some time early sept did not track . Just checked mycic and it has been approved for all members of my family

Actually, never mind. The status just changed to "approved".

Hi Everyone, below is the timeline for my parents PR Card that received after 4 and 6 months respectively, I hope this helps for people who are still waiting for PR Card

Parents Landed in Toronto: April 22, 2017
Letter Received to Re-send the photos for both parents: June 15, 2017
Both parents Photo Sent to CIC in single envelope: June 26, 2016
Received by CIC: June 29, 2017
Mohter's PR Card Received: August 29, 2017
Father's PR Card Received: October 16, 2017

This is so ridiculous to just receive PR Card took 4 months for the first card and 6 months for the second PR card. While both the photos were sent in a same envelope.
I called CIC on October 10, and was advised the PR Card was just shipped yesterday.

Hi,

I also struggled a lot to link permanent card resident card to my CIC account but finally got the break through.

Login to your cic accout

Click on "Link an existing application to this account"

Choose category Permanent Resident Card

select the best possible question (i choose Family name and UCI number),

Click "Search for my application" and Add it.

Repeat this for all dependent which are part of application.

Yes. I submitted photos in Sep, received by CIC on 26 Sep. Awaiting approval.
My wife's photos were submitted on 29-Aug, her application has been approved and PR card received yesterday.
Pl keep us posted with your progress.
