I am May 9 applicant

BG in process since Sept 18

I called CIC today and asked for update.

They told me all background checks passed. Just waiting for final decision. If i do not get it by January call them back

Hopefully you will get it much sooner than that. I was told the same about a week ago and got my ppr 2 days ago. May 4 applicant

Sydney. If any complication in the file then Sydney office sending file to Ottawa for final decision.

So you mean the file will nor send to Ottawa if the case is not complicated?

April 7.. Had to cancel my wedding which was planned for Dec..

I do think you can still enjoy your wedding and mail your passport to your friend in canada if you got PPR during your wedding.

no no we need to do landing before marriage. If status changes before landing they can get PR back... then you will get with your husband/wife. May be I can delay up-to 1 year

January is so far... hopefully we will get before their holidays... they hardly came back from September holidays now Christmas holidays r on the edge... once they gone we will b stuck till January as their offices will open in January... so pray that we all get ppr before Christmas holidays

It is ridiculous that my friends who applied in June 2016 and did medical test in July 2017 already got ppr. All of them are in the same situation as me, single applicant, same pnp program, from same country and submit additional document in last November. It is really unfair that for us to wait till January.

Why you emailed Ottawa?? You was confirmed that your file is in Ottawa?? Or your file in Sydney ?? What you wrote and on what email??
