Why is this stupid BGC taking so long?? Its been a month now. And there nothing really to check so why are they wasting time?
Anu luck with your BGC @Screenager?
I haven’t received a reply yet so here it is again . I had e-mailed LVO and was informed that an integrated search was completed and they do believe my husband and I are a bonafide couple. However, nothing was changed on MyCIC. What does that mean? What’s next?
Guys, how do you all keep yourselves composed while living away from your spouses? I am staying at home for the past 6 months after leaving my job and its been even harder since then. I tend to find myself frustrated every so often. The time difference is another big dilemma! Life seems at pause and there's so much I have been holding until this PPR thingy like my M.Phill that I couldn't go for because of this immigration wait. Any tips for not letting this process on nerves and get insane? I make some time for workout each day, what are your hacks?
I can relate to what you're saying. It feels like life is in limbo right now and the time difference just kills. I've either given up things or put them on hold because of immigration and it's driving me absolutely nuts. It's even more annoying to think I have to wait for the little things as just having meals with my husband. The only thought that calms me down is knowing it will happen exactly at the time it's meant to be, not a minute before and not a minute later. Me fretting or being anxious about it will not help my application in anyway. God knows if being anxious helped cases get finalized, LVO would've given me the visa within 3 days as I'm sure is the case with all the other applicants. This process is already interfering with my marital life because we're forced to live apart but I try and forbid it to affect my life apart from that. It's just not fair to yourself. Live one day at a time, take up some reading perhaps. I'm actually learning a new language just for the sake of it, lol (Duo Lingo's the app if you're interested). Hope the long part of the wait is behind us now!
It's really difficult to live apart, even more so when you have had exactly 10 days to live together after the wedding and then leave Pakistan to come back to apply for the immigration. I had studies to finish, so that took away a lot of my focus. My hubby is a hiker, so he got busy in that during the summer. He's a teacher, so summer is free for him, but then he got back into his busy routine when school started. I got back to studying and working full time. We have fixed times to talk when we absolutely know that we are free and not interfering when the other is busy during work. That's the worse when it's night in Pakistan and you have just woken up to get to work. Weekends are a bliss for us when we talk endlessly every few hours, thou this drives my mom crazy because I end up neglecting to do house chores .. lol. Keep yourself busy in any way possible. Now that the winter is here, going out will feel more like torture than before and make being apart even more depressing! Stay strong, ladies! We can do it!
Sept 2016 case. Interview requested this Friday and has been scheduled for Nov 21. Any clues as to what they ask? Also how much longer after an interview does the whole process take?

I haven't received such a reply from lvo before but looks like eligibility is passed. Background checks are next. When did u apply and do you want to be added to the spreadsheet?

I received medical request 5 days back and Schedule A form after a day. But I have not received police certificate request, from the forum I see people receive all these things in 1 day only.
Is this normal for me not to receive police certificate request till now?
