Work permit is expiring next Thursday. Applied for extension. Felt so bad paying $255 application fee. So pissed of with CIC. Just past 17 months yesterday.

April 12, 2016 --> Just called CIC, Agent told me that background check is finished and just need final review to be done but when i told him that it is exactly same answer what i got last month. So he put me on hold and sent a note to officer working on my file and told me that they'll be directly replying to me through email address. Will be waiting for a reply from officer or DM/PPR whichever comes first. I'll keep you guys posted.

I called CIC Agent today and got similar answer that he will send message to the officer. Did you got email back from officer.

about to finish seven months of my bowp still nothing ... According to the current speed of cic looks like need second bowp... 18th month start on 15 October

Okay so you didn't get your PNP approval before your work permit expired? What province did you apply from? And are you out of the country?

I had got my pnp approved in jan 2016
Applied in april 2016 and my file was sent back to me in may because they needed my hand written signature rather than electronic ones on one of the forms
My reapplication was accepted in june 2016
Work permit expirey in feb 2017.... pnp support letter received a few days aftee the expirey of my work permit...
I couldn't apply without support letter although I had filled out the paperwork of bridging work permit
Since the support letter came late, I had to fill out new paperwork of application of work permit in march and got rejection in july

Not 100% sure. However, in general, you can definitely withdraw your application but fees are never refundable.

No I haven’t, why do you ask? My progress seems to be up to date with ppl who applied around the same times as me so I never really thought I needed to call them.

I see lots of april applicants got ppr.

When do u think may applicants will be getting approximately?

Like wek, two or month?

To me it kinda seems like cic is doing stuff in batches, usually at beginning of the month or at the end of the month, with a few odd ones in between. If you look at the stats list, you will see most ppl get ppr on their 18th months... At least you can assume that when everything is on time. Although that is only my personal analysis.
