I'm May 3rd 2016 applicant MPNP. Still waiting..........

I am 24 june applicant and my work permit is expiring nov 16/2017. My background check is still N/A. Should i call cic to ask what's going on with my file. Also, if i apply for my new work permit can i use the medical that i used last year for my work permit since that will be expiring nov 16 as well. And i'm planning to apply atleast by oct 20. Thanks

Yes 1 month before you have to submit your application for BOWP

AOR : Oct 13th 2016
add spouse : Jan 2017
request for more doc. and questionnaires: June 13th 2017

after that no replay from CIC
medical submitted upfront : Sept 6th 2017
no reply from CIC after June 2017
16 month will be completed this month.

nothing updated on ECAS after AOR (Oct 13th 2016)

called CIC, they said : they receive our Medical, but officer haven't checked and our BG is in progress

I am planning to apply through express entry .... should I ?

If I say No then it not doesn't give me options for Work permit...

I selected YES when I was filling in the form. Basically they are asking you if you have received your AOR. That's what I understand at least......I applied in mid May and got it approved on July 24th. Hope this helps.
