HI guys, I've just got my result to day, 7.5 8.5 7.0 6.5; L R W S
This is my 5th attempt and I'm really depressed now, I only need 8.0 L and 7.0 S which will make my CRS reach 469.
Is there any chance to improve 0.5 in Listening? I know it is less chance but anyone in this thread did a remark on Listening and got an increase?
Please advice guys.
Exactly the same score as mine...
I need 7 in writing.... and am not sure if I can lift up the score 6 to 7 through that. 1 band gap is huge.
The thing is that I've never been given 6 in writing so far.. from my teachers who are currently examiners.... they gave me 7 most times and admittedly 6.5 from time to time..
Test date: 09.09.2017, BC Dakar,Senegal
I got my results today: LRWS 8.5,8.0,7.0,6.5, thinking of going for EOR
I have a CRS of 432 that's almost on the verge of the earlier cut-off draw scores, Do they freeze the results until EOR is done which is about 6-8 weeks and will the results be available for CIC until the revaluation is done if in case i get an ITA with a CRS 432.
Also if my speaking score increases by a 0.5 which will be 7.0 my CRS will go to 490.
Critical situation, members may pls suggest.
Thanks in Advance

Hi Guys,
I am an IELTS aspirant and shall appear for test soon. I was going through the forum and discussion board and I have this question regarding listening module only. Many candidates got band 8 and 8.5 in listening. Can somebody share his/her practical experience of how many questions, you believe, you answered correct to obtain band 8? or in other words, whats the error margin to achieve band 8?
I have read many sites which says, you must answer 35 correct to get band 8. Please share your real experience.
I have been a silent reader on the forum for long time.
I see many people have applied for reval and are struggling for 0.5 marks for your CRS to go up.
I am sailing in the same boat as you.
I have attempted IELTS almost 4 times now.
My last score was LRWS-8.5, 9,6.5,7.5
The lastest exam i gave was on 19th Aug'17 for which my score is LRWS-8,7,6.5,8
I have applied for Reval for writing on 12th of Sept.Awaiting results now.
My quest is has anyone applied for reval resently, or has anyone received reval results?
What are your scores post reval?
Is there any watsapp grp for aspiring canadians, struggling with ielts score?
Dear All
My IELTS IDP score- L-8.5/ R-7/ W-6.5/ S-7. My target score is CLB-9, so I need at-least 7 in writing. In the last exam in IDP, I scored 7 in writing.
Do you suggest EOR.

It's worth a try if you are confident that you wrote enough quality content for band 7. Did you make sure that your answers fulfill minimum words requirement? There is a heavy marking penalty if we are short of words.
