How do you know that your security check was started 2 months back and not 7 months back when CIO-Sydney opened your file and sent out MR?

I thought it started from the day of NA-IP2. I have applied the GCMS note on Aug-23-2017. Maybe, we can undestanded more several days later/

NA-IP2 is for EE folks. Not sure if QSW follows same flow.

Pretty sure you will get DM/PPR before you will get your GCMS notes

Have seen transition of IP - NA for QSW folks but those lucky fella's got their PPR in 7 months seems some VO mistakenly treated their file as a EE instead of QSW ;-)

In between, Processing time of QSW as of 18th Sept is still 13 months.

yea, it is always 13 months (including DM,PPR)

So my assumption was correct it seems CIC has not started on security due to backlog or something for Oct/Nov/Dec-2016 applicants -Just saw a GCMS notes of colleague (Nov last week applicant) - all other things are clear -Eligibility ,Medical ,Criminality .. only security is not started ..interestingly no body worked on his file since May ...

Yep, I think everything related to security is secret.

yea, it is always 13 months (including DM,PPR)

Last year it was 12 months for brief period.

I saw an "Open Data" spreadsheet in this thread and found out that it was 12.43 ish for a quarter last year and CIC rounded it off to 12 months.

Security check in Progress status seems is updated as soon as CIC refer file to CSIS/CBSA or relevant authorities , because i also saw that filer was referred on so and so date , also it is seen that criminality is also passed by that time so "security in progress" is equivocal statement ...
Also completed but not updated on GCMS doesn't sound correct to me because what i saw on various posts on forms usually before releasing GCMS notes case analyst once review a file to avoid any unnecessary info passed on to public ...

PeQ might getting delayed due to midi probing French language certification...
