Just wondering if someone can answer this. In my husbands FRC I am not listed as his spouse because I am, as of 2012, not a Pakistani citizen. We didn't think about it at that time and sent his FRC without an explanation. Any chance they will let that slide?

On the same note. Has anyone here not submitted their FRC (family registration certificate)? We have only submitted marriage certificate from nadra, nikah nama in english and urdu, birth cert and nic . All copies were submitted as certified true copies. Please advise how important is FRC and if you submitted it ? Thanks

I haven't yet, did not know there was such a thing. No requests for it so far.

I checked no email there as my MP told me that they sent request at the following address I'm just thinking should I ask them to send me email or should I wait i don't know how long it will take to get the mail. Pakistan post office bhi to itny fast han na

I was also asked for the passport photo again, even though I sent the requested number of copies with the application. Does this mean they need a digital copy or do the photos need to be retaken because they are wrong in some way?

Also is there a need to courier these items also? I was also asked for the Schedule A and a photo of me the (PA) signing the Nikkah Nama, there are no pictures of me doing so because our Nikkah was in a mosque and everybody was respectful of this fact.

Yes i think so they asked for passport photo again because it was not appropriate according to their specifications.
I didnt courier these four things. I just uploaded them on my account. Because request letter from Cic mention to upload . But Lvo asked again for nikkah nama n they mentioned that "we should recive the doc in our office by..." so i courier them n again upload them on my account.

As per checklist you have to provide them Family Tree(FRC) but if they accepted your documents no need to worry. In later stage if they feel need of FRC definitely they will request you for the same. So take it easy.

Why is everyone talking about FRCs? As far as I remember, they weren't even a requirement. But were they requested from you guys later on in the process? Or did you submit it voluntarily?

I guess there are different ways to do it. If it was me, maybe I'd write a general letter, stating the facts about our relationship. Then, you could have a bunch of people sign the paper as witnesses to the facts, providing their contact info. Or, you could ask maybe 4 or 5 people to write their own letters. I didn't include any such proof with my own application since I included other stuff instead.

Which checklist are you looking at? I can't find it anywhere on the spousal one or country specific requirements. Can you provide a link? Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place.

Under checklist >Supporting Documents for Sponsored Person>Q1 option 5. "A copy of Your family booklet, if issued by your country of Nationality" I think they are asking here about Family Tree or Family Registration Certificate. I could be wrong but check with other members also.

Family booklet = FRC

I was applying for FRC from Nadra website and it shows that Husband NIC martial status still shows unmarried hense FRC cant be issued.

Now I live in Toronto and my wife in Karachi, does anyone knows the easiest way my martial status in Nadra records?
My wife's record is already updated because she has a new CNIC showing husband name...

It happened to me too. The best thing is apply online for it. Choose the option of modify identity card amd you can apply for a changed martial status. The fastest way is that get your nic delieverd in pakistan. Once you recieve your id card ask your wife to go to nadra office and get the frc. Let me know if you need for help
