Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2017

We got selected in 2nd round for my wife's parents, however we just realized that we do not have sufficient income since I already submitted the sponsorship for my parents earlier, can we just sponsor only 1 parent instead of 2, we are only short of a few thousands for the first of the 3 years required for income, this is so sad!

No, you must meet income to sponsor both parents, or none. You can't pick just 1.
All parents being sponsored in total (so 2 already + 2 new ones) would need to be added to family size, for both apps.

Does anybody have any information about the processing times from sending in the application to landing?
I know that for those submitted before 2014 there was a really long wait (as cic website shows). Has this changed since?

yes waiting time is less for PGP 2014-2016, mine passed medical and waiting PPR so total 19mon for now

I have sent application on 25th of July and they received on 26th but I am unable to see status in Ecas.

Mine was received on 7/21, no update yet. I called IRCC yesterday but they couldn't see anything in the system. The agent said the application hasn't been uploaded yet so there's no way to trace it.

So I have recieved the invitation today for mt parents. My husband is goin to be a cosigner. Our joint income is well above lico. My husband has his NOTICE of assessments for the past 3 years but I only have them for 2015 2016 because I came to Canada in July.2014


What can be done? Can I still apply?

Your case is probably a NO too. Didn't you file a tax for 2014?

One more thing, LICO match should be for 3 years continusely, current dependent + 4 more, until LICO doesn't match, you can't qualify. Next year if your LICO for past 3 yr is not matching, you should not try and that way someone who has matching LICO might get chance..

I meet the Lico for the past 3 years for 4 people and dependent.infact our income is more than the requirement so it's all good.

There is a section in the instruction guide where it says "you can't sponsor your parents if you already have applied for spouse/relative and the previous application's decision is not made yet".so possibly it's a no
