askm, you can apply for the FRC online through here: http://id.nadra.gov.pk/family-registration-certificate/
Did you and your wife update your CNIC/NICOP to change status to married with each other's CNIC? If yes, then i guess all you need to do is apply from the link above. If not, I think you would have to update both of your CNIC/NICOPS first and then apply for the FRC.
For updating status to married on your CNIC/NICOP, you can do it online as well through http://id.nadra.gov.pk/modify-id/.
I just went through that process, its pretty fast, I applied on Jul 29 and got the updated NICOP on Aug 7. (I am also outside Pakistan and applied from here in Canada). Hope that helps.
I just applied for my spouse immigration but I didnt include a family registration certificate, infact I was not aware that pakistan issue any such document. Is it mandatory to submit FRC? I can order now online and think it takes 7-10 days, then can submit when they ask for Schedule A.
I'm in a similar situation, I didn't know such a document existed and my application is in London now. I'm trying to decide if I should email it to London but I might not unless they ask for it.
Also, when they request things you get upload slots, so won't just be able to upload it with the Schedule A.
When I mentioned this earlier here, someone recommended I email it to London once I get the second line in ECAS.
I have been part of this forum for while but have never really posted. I applied last year to sponsor my wife (nikkah only case) Here is my situation.
Received application for permanent residence on September 7, 2016.
Started processing application on October 13, 2016.
Medical results have been received.
Correspondence was received on November 30, 2016. They asked us to get a re-med done the initial medical was going to expire in February 2017 ( we had gotten an upfront one done in Feb 2016). Medical was done December 16, 2016.
Correspondence was received on May 16, 2017 further asking for communication proof ( I had originally sent them soft copies of email/ chat logs and they asked for hard copy), asking me if I had visited her since then (also provide proof of visits) and lastly why we had not done a Valima yet. I explained it all and sent them back the info.
Since then I have not heard anything. It is kinda worrying me because a lot of people that applied around my time have gotten PPR. Any suggestions as to what I should do next?
P.S. I do not have the CIC account linked. I just use the online tool which I feel like they rarely update. I keep seeing people talk about GCMS notes. What are they and should I be looking into those? How do I get them?
Also is there any other info required from my end to update the spreadsheet?
For Pakistan, since we don't have a federal body that is responsible for PCC for the whole country, you need to get PCC from every city where your wife resided after 18 years of age.
The photographers in Pakistan make incorrect photos. At least, the photos produced by the one who claims to be the specialist for making photos for Canada, located close to VFS Global Islamabad (we submit our passports for Canada PR visa at VFS Global).
When you collect your photos, Please make sure that the photos that you will submit along the passport meet the specifications i.e.
50 mm wide X 70 mm high chin to top of the head between 31 mm and 36 mm (most mistakes are in the chin to head top measurement) http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/pr-card/apply-photos.asp
Even if the photographer says that the photos are correct, take a small ruler and take the measurements to ensure that the photos conform to the specifications. Most of the problems are in the chin to top of the head measurement. Please ensure that the face from chin to top of the head is between 31 mm and 36 mm. The photographer may say his photos are accepted but in reality they are not, (he thinks accepted at VFS global means accepted). The applicants receive new photo requests from CIC after 3 months of PR card application submission. In some cases, the CIC even does not inform applicants and when they call to inquire about their status they come to know about the photos problem.
Normally, people get their PR card in 50~70 days. But the time for applicants with incorrect pictures is almost double. Because sending and processing new pictures will again take a lot of time.

I have a quick question for you .My spouse did not change his name in Nadra and even did not change in passport and ID card. He has B Form in which he is showing as a son with his parents ." For copy of your family booklet" I believe he can give to that as well as it is showing his family members and before marriage and he did not change his name in passport and other documents . Please let me know.
Did both of your get your marital status updated to married in Nadra database. That is most important as you need your own family registration certificate first.

Same thing for me, documents status changed to we need more documents, we will contact you on Aug 14 but no updates since then. I have ordered gcms notes and sent email to lvo, as well as submitted a case specific inquiry, lets see what happens. I actually hope it wasnt a glitch and they opened the file and are actually working on it hopefully.
I know I was hoping it would be a request also. But our GCMS notes showed nothing had been started in LVO. did you order your notes before Aug 14?

yeah I had ordered them on july 18, got them on aug 18, but that could be just coincidence. it doesn't make sense at all that ordering notes changes status to CIC needing more documents from us.

Yea it seems like ordering notes has something to do with MyCIC. Maintenance is scheduled for tomorrow. Hopefully status will go back to normal. Waiting to see what our next notes will show and how it will impact MyCIC.
