There is no number to call London Visa office. You can inquire the status of your application via email or webform. Also you can order GCMS notes to see if your file has been reviewed and any comments from visa officer.

Since it'll be 7 months of processing by the time CPCM finally sends my file to LVO, do you guys think LVO might process it more quickly?

I'm hoping LVO won't ask for anything else. It seems like I've already sent everything to CPCM that LVO would ask for (PCC, re-med, proof of recent visit, notifying them of pregnancy), but still, for all I know, LVO might request all of these things again.

Is it possible, though, that I might get DM within 2-3 months after LVO gets the file? Our baby is due at the end of November so that's why I'm so curious.

I think in regards to anything you have sent already, they should be attached to your file and LVO will be able to review it once they open your file. So I wouldn't worry about having to send in any of that. Whether or not they expedite your file, that will be hard to say. Hopefully someone else can answer that better.

Is it mandatory to fill Additional Dependents/Declaration Form IMM 0008DEP for a Pakistani applicant? In the checklist it doesnt show but if you go to country specific requirements it shows there. Also in our case principle applicant doesnt have any dependent. What should we do ?

CIC website says that most of the cases of spousal immigration are now being processed within 12 months however on this thread i see many people are waiting since 1.5 years and there isnt much progress. How true is that 12 months statement by CIC?

DO NOT make a mistake of stapling any document! you didn't read their guide book(surprised)? Use paper clips and one rubber band to keep all the docs together

HOW to order gcms note
How to apply GCMS / ATIP notes.

Only a person who is in Canada can request the notes.

If principal applicant is in Canada, he/she can request for himself and apply for free under Privacy Act.

If sponsor is requesting it on behalf of Principal applicant, you need consent form from PA and $5 fee. You can receive consent form from spouse thru email and upload it. Apply under Access to Information Act.

It takes about 30 days to receive by email. It is a ~30 pages document

GCMS Notes and Codes

The Coding Kit, is the official list of codes used by CIC in the processing of CAIPS/GCMS files.

The notes entered in the CAIPS/GCMS system by an Immigration officer are in English (may be in French for Quebec immigrants), easy to understand and provide very useful information. However some of the codes used within the CAIPS/GCMS file may be difficult to interpret.

The Coding Kit provides assistance in the interpretation of the file in these circumstances.

If the person you are sponsoring does not have additional dependents that you also have to sponsor, then there is no need to fill out the Additional Dependents form.
