well, honestly is not taking long. If you look at people waiting for years. Even if you call, officially they are working on 2014 applications. I just want to know the files are in. That's all

I am planing to sponsor my mom next year.
We are 3 brothers in total. I live in Canada, rest 2 brothers are in back home country.
I have a confusion to fill Schedule A – Background/Declaration (IMM 5669)
Do we all (myself, my mom, my other 2 brothers) have to fill this form separately with sign? we are all over 25 yrs and i am only sponsoring my mom.

can any body please help me?

And another thing:
For Additional Family Information (IMM 5406),
My mom has to include all her brothers and sisters details? isn't it? only the alive sisters and brothers or need to include all who are not alive too?
I mentioned only alive persons /PGP-2016/

Sponsor doesn't have to fill 5669. It will be just his mom if bros > 18

Who must fill out this application form?
This form must be completed by:

• you, the principal applicant;
• your spouse or common-law partner (whether accompanying you to Canada or not), and
• your dependent children aged 18 years or older (whether accompaying you to Canada or not).

Im in Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2017 right? Sorry maybe I confuse you. I sponsored my mom and now her paper was sent to the Philippines for processing. We got an email asking for Hong Kong Police Certificate, NBI(Philippine Police Clearance) and medical. Hongkong Police Office will be the one who will submit the certificate to the visa office. Now I am confused where to submit the certificate, should it be in the Philippines or Hong kong. Thank you.

As per my knowledge and understanding, your country visa office is Philippines, because your file is transferred to Philippines visa office. Your mom would have to submit all 3 documents to this office. if Hong Kong Police office sends the certificate directly to visa office, you should inform them to send it to Philippines office.

Above is my view but you can consult others for more opinion on this.

Finally received AOR email yesterday (Aug 10) with file number. Application was received on May 29,2017 . Please update the tracking sheet. thanks

Congrats. Updates not needed. The date when your Ecas status changed was considered to be AOR.

I received an email from IRCC:

They request for just Medical Examination within 30 days. my parents are here right now as a visitor. My parents can do their exam here? Or they have to go to their country?
Also, why they didn't ask for police certificate?
Please help!

Sponsor don't have to fill Background declaration. Only the applicant which is his mom. (no spouse and dependant in his case.)
The one you filled was not required and might have ended up in shredder.

Newbie here. I have a question for sponsorship application for my mom. She is currently working in Hong kong but a Filipino Citizen. She was ask to submit a Hongkong Police Certificate. Now my mom went to VAC office Hongkong and ask if the Police Certificate will be submitted to them and the lady said no. The lady gave a CONSULATE ADDRESS instead. I am confuse now. Please help

1. She should have received a letter from IRCC telling to get a Police Certificate from Hong Kong. See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/hong-kong.asp The Police certificate will then sent directly to IRCC

I got "Decision Made" today in ECAS in sponsorship application status while PR application status is still saying "Apllication Received". The desision made is saying that they have sent a letter on 11Aug2017 to me and wait for the letter. CIC MyAccount is not showing anything. Just the same "Action Required" as always. I am concerned why they sent a letter when I already linked the application to CIC MyAccount.

I got a "Decision Made" today as well. No emails/letters, no indication in ECAS other than that. In MyCIC, the 2nd line has changed to something like "we are assessing your eligibility" (it's in french for me).
Looking forward for the details of the decision !!
