Hi there. It can take different lengths of times, I'm not sure that it is consistent. I would try calling AVO and emailing them to let them know your predicament. That might help speed things up. I know others have been in a similar situation when their work permit somewhere was going to expire, etc, and contacting AVO to give them a heads up that they needed their passport back helped.

Hello all, please I have a dilemma and I need advice. I noticed two days ago that a bank statement I sent with my husbands application has his name spelt wrongly. I'm wondering what I should do because I have been so paranoid since I realized this.
Please someone should advice. Thanks

I think you should go get the name corrected in the bank first and maybe email Accra office and inform them if the error. I don't know if our will help that you email them but then if they ask about the situation in future, you can present the correctly named statement and a copy of the email you sent them with an explanation. Maybe also with a letter from the bank management confirming it was an error that has been corrected.

Please I need a response from anyone.

Nope. Tender heard from them two weeks ago for a few documents. I'm still waiting, haven't heard anything.

when i see questions like this..i am just automatically depressed..when i realize i am still only February 2017...with a baby who i missed the entire pregnancy and now missing him growing up..today he's 2 months old....CIC really needs to intervene and look into AVO

It's so horrible that we have to go through this. The whole process puts unnecessary strain on people's marriages. Hopefully it ends soon.

am having to dig into my inner most strength with each video of him i receive smiling...not having held my son...the effect on marriages is really under estimated...

HUMMM, September people are waiting...

it seems like they received a lot of application after June 2016 ...
because most April,May,June 2016 Applicants took 9 months to process..

it may not be same in your case...

Any ideas, let's brain storm..

Can we put up a publication on any of the National Newspapers in Ottawa..
it's be gonna be unanimous...
but we'll make sure we draw the attention of Ottawa/the public to "That Accra" office..
saying their keeping families apart....
if they have so much work load, as they claim..
with the fees we pay, can't they increase the work force?
or spread the work Load to other AVOs in the region (NIGERIA, etc)
