I am the sponsor and just had my baby, the child was born in Canada. The question is, my husband's file has been transferred to Lvo. Should I send in my child's birth certificate and update them with this information or not? Also, the birth certificate doesn't have the father's name because he is not in Canada.

Hey, do you need police reports from any city you have spent more than six months in or just from the city that's stated on your ID card? On the website, it only mentions the country.
Not sure how to attach a picture of it. Any new applicants, please let me know as guidelines are always changing.

myCIC is when you login with GC Key and ECAS is when you login with the "check your application status" online tool. They provide different kinds of info

Really sorry, did not mean to spam, unfortunately the website crashed on me, resulting in the multiple posts probably.

Thank you for sharing the link! I tried using my account to link my wife's application (I am the sponsor), but it keeps saying application not found. I tried using different methods like UCI, Application number, family name etc, and entered all the information according to the application. Under number of family members in application, I entered 2 (for me and my wife).

I am sure I am doing something wrong, can anyone please help me identify what is it that I may be missing? Thanks!

I've noticed that most people's background checks start being processed midway through their application or when their application is in it's final stages.
However, myCIC has been showing "We are processing your background checks" since one week before my file was even transferred to LVO
I'm a bit confused by that but not sure if anyone would be able to offer an explanation for it?? Each case really is different...

I didn't apply for gcms notes yet. my GCKey states "documents provided are being reviewed" for about a month now. No apparent progress yet!

Write your application number, UCI number and date of birth. Ask them there is no correspondence to date from CIC so i would like to know the status of my application. You can mention more concerns if you want. To my point of view everybody should send emails to CIC so that they feel some pressure to finalize the old cases soon!
