Alhamdulillah i landed in Canada last week and wanted to share my experience with all of u.
The entire process is very simple and Canadians are very helpful and friendly. Once u get off the plane look for signs above and follow the route to the arrivals. Do not go to connections unless u have a connecting flight of course. It will be a very long walk with 2-3 escalators and stairs. So make sure have enough energy left in u :) Once u arrive at the "arrivals" section u will see officers. Some officers will be handling "foreign passports" some "canadian passports" make sure u ask the floor managers there and tell them that u r landing for the first time and they will guide u to the officer with the shortest queue. Make sure u stand behind the line and wait patiently for ur turn. When i landed there wasnt a queue so i got thru quick. The customs lady asked me for my declaration card and copr and passport. She asked me whether im carrying any food items etc and nothing else. She made some wiggles on my declaration card and told me to go behind to the immigration officer. Their office is located behind the customs booth. Once u go the immigration officer they will ask u for the copr and passport and verify ur postal address. They will take ur stuff and ask u to wait. Donot panic they will just do some paperwork at their back end and call u again in a few minutes to hand u over ur copy of copr and passport.. You are now good to go and collect ur baggage :) Keep ur declaration card with u safe cause at the airport exit the officer will take it from u :)
Welcome to Canada Jee.. wait yet welcome isn't done until u've been thrown directly into the snow bank. I'm sure your husband must have planned one.. heads up.. Have a great life.. and do miss Pakistani values.. all the best..

I do have an upload option and I've uploaded it. However, on my cic it still says we need addition documents to process your application.
So do you think I should mail them the original PCC as well ? Thanks
Although they take some time to update MyCIC but better if you do mail them too, I reckon.

My friend (March 2016 applicant) had his schedule A request 2 weeks ago. In his letter it was stated that he has 45 days to respond. Even though he responded the same day, is it true that they put aside your file for 45 days even if you sent in the requested?

I think it depends on visa officer..how prompt they are. As the case is 15 months old, the visa officer must take action quickly. Maybe security checks are being done side by side.

Sorry to hear that. Do they ever mention the red flags or why is an interview needed. May be notes or any kind of inquiry does tell you anything or is that you are left so clueless?
I know why they are wanting to conduct the interview, but I wish they would just confirm it for us so we know whether or not we are being interviewed.

Try clicking the "i" for more information or checking what the request letter in your email said. Mine also requested multiple (as you provide PCC for the country you're currently residing in and any country that you have lived in for more than 6 months since the age of 18). But ours was an error as my husband has only ever lived in one country. So we provided his one PCC and wrote a note underneath (made it all into one PDF) that it's not possible for him to have multiple, as he has never resided in any other country.
