Joining you, guys.
AOR 7th Jan
FSW Outland, Russian Federation origin living in USA
No travel history, no military background, no government positions
Got GCMS notes, same as yours - everything is passed, last 3 activities are security screening started April 28th.
My 6 months deadline is in two weeks.
I have no idea what could trigger their choice, I'm only 25 y.o. so I couldn't do much sh** in my life.
Seems like it is random choice of loosers who are going to wait a lot. So unfair.
Hahaha don't categorize us as losers man. I think we are VIPs
And guys, I feel a sense a gloom spread all over. Let's not do that and stay positive! Hopefully with the progression of the E.E system their Secuirty Screening shall be more efficient aswell and we would get ours completed sooner rather than later!

We should be prepared for Security Screening to take 6-18months that's the reality of the situation we are in.
User Matt-NL on this forum had his SS start on 25th January and is yet to receive PPR.
How do you guys know when SS has practically started? is it the day BGC starts or some time after? Cause the dates on my notes are redacted for SS

Unfortunately the SS process mostly depends on other countries and organizations so it can never be controlled I guess.. Some countries are pretty slow in providing info

I am prepared that I am going to reach at least a year from AOR. I was very optimistic with EE when I applied A YEAR AGO. But then whatever could go wrong, it did - I spent six months in the pool with 470 points because they wouldn't take more than 700 people per draw and I was always short around 10 points. Finally when I submitted in Dec and got AOR, now I am stuck in the SS. I planned to move to Canada in August - clearly that's not happening, and I cancelled any plans I made. Frankly my optimism ran dry, I m going for the reverse psychology now.
Awesome work! Thank your for this! Does anyone know how to make tracker? It really does give some idea on how long it takes. According to this Feb BCIP should get their PPRs in July and Aug.
It seems that SS has slowed recently. I will update news about the Feb BCIP applicants once they receive PPR.
Best of luck and stay optimistic!
Thanks! Good luck to all of us! We just have to be very patient, I guess

Basically when your Eligibility is approved that is when your security screening starts, provided you have been randomly selected for it. This is also reflected in the dates on the GCMS notes if they aren't redacted (like mine aren't..)

Thanks for adding to my anxiety Sugar2016. Although I knew those numbers, I was living in denial of them. Still hoping for early resolution!

Agreed Jianxia15. Let's stay positive and optimistic! And judging from the situation, there seems to be quite a few SS applications out there and they can't keep them all pending for forever. I read on some forum that normally the CSIS sends in their reports in a few months and it takes CIC more time due to lack of efficient correspondence protocols etc. So all this does leave hope that they will get their act together and run things more efficiently with the growing number of SSs! Hence the optimism...
Hi All
Middle-eastern, been to many countries for work and tourism
AOR 18/12/2016
Eligibility recommend passed 20/03/2017
BGIP 06/04/2017
SS 06/04/2017
Office Pretoria
Still waiting since that
i reordered GCMS (would be my 5th) to see any update. expected in 3 weeks
Does Eligibility: Recommend Passed means passed?
Am I pending only for SS?

That's pretttty similar to my story, when I submitted in the pool last year the last draw took minimum score of 468 (I was 478) and since then (April-May 2016) in never went beyond 481, i felt seriously jinxed, then only in October I received ITA after I almost lose all hope and passion to move to Canada, and now I'm in that same situation again but this time I'm trying to expect the worst

In that case I've been in SS since November 23rd 2016, I will try to mentally prepare myself for at least a year since AOR.

My notes are bit confusing. It's something like this in activity section:
08Jan Security - Not started
09Jan Medical - Passed
12Jan Criminality - Passed
28Jan Eligibility - Met
Security (hidden date and status)
26Apr Security screening - Not started
Security screening (hidden date and status, and this shows 3 times)
But when I go to notes I see that on 22Feb my file was sent to
Vienna office, where agent wrote
17Mar - This application was selected for EE VV program. Emails sent to verify bank statement, police certificates, work experience and university diploma. (I was like, I was selected for what
. I never found out what that means, EE maybe express entry, but what is VV)
26Apr - First referral initiated (again what
)
BG went in progress on mycic on 26th Apr.
Now I don't understand if they started my security screening from Ottawa office in January, or it was done from Vienna in April.
