Hi guys,

I'm an Oct 2016 applicant and I just got my notes. Although eligibility, security and criminality all show as 'not started' I noticed they extended my medical. It was expiring today, .i.e. 21st June, 2017 but now it has been extended till 15th March, 2018. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Does it mean anything at all?

Appreciate any comments or thoughts!

Hi I got PPR today Shukar Allah (June 21, 2017). I sent voluntary proof to LVO about my re-visit to Pakistan to visit my spouse from June 7-17, 2017. Email with proof sent to LVO on June 12, 2017.

Hoping everyone else gets their ppr soon. Background check and eligibility still shows in progress on ECAS.

Salam everyone,

I am just writing info on back of photos required , when I am doing this. Do I need to write D.O.B for just my wife who is ( principal applicant ) or for both of us . I am only asking because the photo requirement of 20 photos are under principal applicant section.

Common sense suggests, it would be nice to write d.o.b for both of us. Suggestions please.

Only the PA's name and DOB is to be written on the back of the photos (along with info about the photo like a caption and who is in the photo)

is there a way my husband can visit me during the whole PR process?
actually my due date is jan 2018 and I want my husband to be with me that time.

If your husband is a Canadian citizen then he can visit you any time. However, if he is a PR then certain restrictions apply as to how long he can stay with you (there is a 6 or 7-month limit or something)

Can anyone confirm if the sched A & PCC request also include a portion for marriage photos? i.e. is it a generic letter? The marriage photos were provided with the original application when it was submitted but now the request letter has 3 things they are asking for...Is this normal?

This is not a generic letter. They specifically ask each applicant for certain things. Sometimes, people get asked for things that they have already submitted...not sure why this happens. Maybe things get mixed up when the file is transferred to LVO (when I got my application back from CPC, it was in a completely different order than I got it) or idk what reason. Maybe it's an error. You can try writing a letter stating that you have already provided the photos with the original application, or you can be on the safe side and send them again (maybe make a document of the images and print them out and mail them/upload them online if given the option).

Asalamoalikum! i got medical request on 30th of may but i mail was in my junk folder today i checked that...and it has to b done till 30th of june.how can they give me appointment in this short time...plz help ...and do i have to mail them the result within that time or just have to b present at dr for medical till 30th.

Call them ASAP and tell them that you need it done by the 30th. My husband called and got an appointment for one week later, so maybe you'll be able to get it done in time.

Nothing really to make sense out of, some people get their medicals extended instead of being asked to do another one. Most likely a good thing at least it shows that they are looking at your file!
