I guess that there is no difference between message (a) & (b) below, in terms of BG status. Both means the same BG stage, right? I was on status (a) after medicals got passed and status (b) when they did the system upgrade earlier this week.

(b)"Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check."

There are few trends
1. NS -> (a)->NA->(b)
2. NS->(a)->(b)->NA->(b)
In trend 1 (a) is your IP1
In trend 2 (b) ( before NA) is your IP1

I think there is a little tweak to statement (b) - " we are processing your background check. We will send you a message...."

Hi All,

I got an additional document request yesterday asking me to load my FBI Clearance document in MY CIC Account. When I clicked the Upload file button on My CIC Account it is asking for the following details.

1. Document Name : FBI Clearance/FBI-PCC
2. Document Number : XXXXXXX
3. Country of Issue; USA
4. Date of Issue(YYYY/MM/DD): 2017/03/23
5. Date of Expiry(YYYY/MM/DD) : ???????

I can enter details for first four but what do I enter for the expiry date for the FBI-PCC?.

Just checked my CIC account and medicals went from not required to "we have requested a medical exam." And BG went from not required to "we are reviewing ...".
Can anyone throw some light on the what stage of the process this is at?

I just called CIC and the agent informed me that my criminality is passed and the security check is not started. My file is in Ottawa office. What does it mean? Did I pass BG IP1 and eligibility criteria?

Sorry to say but those are isolated cases. As you can see, you're Mar 14 and I am Mar 15 and yet our BG is at NA from May 4 and is still Loading!!!

Status change:
Medicals Passed: 09March 2017
Background changed to IP1 12March2017
Additional Request:
Travel History Request: 14 March 2017
Submitted; 23March2017
Current Status:
No change since then....Waiting for IP2

After the recent changes to CIC website, there was an "additional documents" row added. At that time, the status was "we are reviewing your additional documents", which has now changed to "we do not need any additional documents". Logical, as I had not been requested for any additional documents in the first place.

Thought of posting as some guys had the same issue.

Bg changed to NA on 26/5/15. After that no change.
