Got re medical request march 1st and performed medical on 15th march.
After that no change in status and not hearing anything and mp saying same thing that it's in process.. it's about 8.5 months almost (if we consider 29th Sep as application submitted date)

CIC is a typical example of a typical Govt office and we can't do anything about. Canadian govt offices are not different than Pakistan the only difference is they are more modernized but the people are lazy and non productive. When i talk to my Canadian colleagues about these issues they get surprised and say how can you live apart for so many months after the marriage and for them its unacceptable. But we are from third world country this would happen to us only because there is no one who can raise a voice for us. To my opinion they should start giving spouse visitors visas during the application process. The only way i see to bring these issues into attention to contact media and complain over there.

I second. I say this all the time but who listens. They should at least issue visitor visas to the spouses, the whole world is doing that. This is so much injustice and no one could even raise a voice because just as MM345 said, reputation!!!

September to November applicants have been hearing from LVO since the past month. You can email LVO to ask for a status update on your file.

Same is the case with me, got re-medical in April after that complete silence. 30 Sep applicant.

I am wondering, does VSF Lahore send acknowledgement SMS after submitting passport?
It's been two days since I submitted my passport, no update. My previous experience with VSF Riyadh Saudi Arabia was very good but in Pakistan its really sucks.
Has anyone experienced the same?

As per comments from fellow members, vfs Lahore and Karachi do not send sms updates. Track your pasport through their website.

And it shows that as of yesterday? Did you call them? We're going to call them tomorrow morning.

I got a call from vfs khi today asking to pick up my passport on monday Allah shukar. I think urs is on the way too if u have the counterfoil message on ur mycic. Just wait for a day or two

On 1st June but no status is changed yet, also it was received in Islamabad on 2 June

I just got Decision Made today on ECAS.
What does that mean?
And how long does it take to get the next step done?
Is it like an email or by mail letter?
And I clicked on it. It just says medical recieved last which was last year updated.
So what happens now? I'm really nervous can anyone help?

Congrats. Ur worries r over. U will get a PPR in ur mycic in a few days. Keep checkinb ur mycic account daily

Nothing to do but wait. Be on ur lawyers head asking him for any correspondence from lvo. Laywers have known to delay correspondences with lvo causing serious issues in the processing.
I think u shud wait for a bit more. If u want u can order gcms notes to see what ur file status is.

Thanks MM345. Do you know how many days after that did you get the passport back? It says Your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office ISLAMABAD, on 08/06/2017 to the Canada Visa Application Centre. So I'm thinking any day now!

Can you please tell me that where applicants get this message " Your passport has been dispatched from Canada Visa Office Islamabad " . Will they update it in my cic account or the applicant will receive the email regarding it from cic ?
