GCMS shows 'Security Screening' and waiting... - let's gather here!

Hi all,

Those who have "Security Screening" stated on their GCMS notes, lets gather here and share our respective timelines and progress ,if any.

My BG went into IP on 28 March and its been like that since then with no change in status.
My GCMS notes reflects the same and states "Security Screening" initiated on 28 March.

My AOR is 30 December. 2016.

Guys sailing the same boat, pls share!

My file is being processed at Ottawa. I am FSW-O. Any idea on how long is this expected to take?

says 3 to 10 weeks but have seen ppl getting done in upto 5 months but some ppl are waiting for upto 1 year still not finalized

That's distressing! I have already crossed the 10 weeks mark. I hope this doesn't translate into months...

Don't think so, I'm FSWO and I don't have secure outstanding, I noticed its a group for PNP applicants

Maybe extensive traveling? Do you guys have extensive traveling history? And maybe it could be country of origin/residence (I mean I'm from Pakistan so that could be a reason). One thing I see common between me and you is the Visa Office (Ottawa) and FSW- O. Could be a pattern...

"Secure Outstanding" is for PNP applicants only..

same here brother my BG check went in progress on March 28, and since then no update. i dont have GCMS notes but the Case specific inquiry says that additional BG checks are required. so i think i am selected for security screening too. my application just entered its 8 month
