LOA via email - March 2,2016
Application send to CIC -April 2,2016
Application Received by CIC -April 7,2016
AOR/UCI -May 3,2016

Hi Guys,

I am sharing my immigration process timeline. I hope it help to the future applicants.

AINP Application: 11 August, 2015 (SRS Engineering occupation category)
AINP Inquiry: 4 December, 2015 (About to receive nomination but 5500 quota was completed for 2015)
AINP Received: 17 Jan 2016

PR Application: 11 April 2016 (Applied late after getting AINP because of wife's work permit process)
AOR Received: 3 May 2016

Going to apply for work permit extension this week..!!

I got my AOR today. I have been waiting 5 weeks. That is good guys!

The next step is a medical request. My friends have been waiting for it since applied to CIC last August-October. I hope to get MR together with them.

Here's one way to check the status of your CIC application.

1. Go to this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/mycic.asp

2. Click (Continue GCKey) blue tab ---- this is the one i used.

3. Sign Up

4. Select (Link the existing account)

5. Enter all required info

6. For English Test detail, use the following if you don't have the info handy:

Test: None
Test ID: 000
Test Date: CIC application received date

(for few it works but not for all)

Hello all, let me join the club, my application was received by CIC at the beginning of May, so lets hope for a quick process! I could see that people who applied in March have received their AOR in like 5-6 weeks. It is moving a bit faster. I will keep you updated.
