ACCA (WES assessed as 3 years equivalent)

Hi All,

I have a query.

I am ACCA member as-well as I have BSc (Hons.) from OBU.

What you guys think will be my assessment? Only 3 years Canadian Bachelors or more?.

Hi,

Yes, you can directly apply to study ACCA after completing A-levels. There is a entry route where you begin with FIA (Foundation in Accounting) and upon completion of the last three papers of FIA you will directly jump to Part 2 of ACCA. Once you complete Part 2, ie. F1-F9, you will be eligible to submit a Research & Analysis project to Oxford Brookes University. If you pass then you are going to get that Bsc Hons in Applied Accounting certificate.

I am gone through this exact same route. My Qualifications is O-levels, A-levels, Bsc Hons in Applied Accounting (OBU), ACCA...

WES canada evaluated my qualification, same as yours, as two bachelor degrees (4 years). So feel free to apply to WES canada rightway.

I am starting the process from tomorrow. As per the WES country-wise requirement I will send them legible photocopy of BSc. degree and ACCA (membership, Professional, Fundamental) certificates by post.

My query is:-

What should I ask ACCA to send from their side to WES? The same certificates i.e. Membership, Professional, Fundamentals?

Ask them to send your status report direct to WES

Ask ACCA to send ACCA examination transcript records, letter of good standing and equivalency letter. Moreover, ask ACCA to mention your WES
Reference No: on the face of the envelope so that WES Canada can identify your documents.

ACCA cannot send your certificates and certificates are not also required by WES. Ask ACCA to send the above mentioned documents and it should be fine. Keep a good follow up after every 3 days with ACCA to ensure they are sending the documents at the earliest.

Also contact OBU for the transcript to be sent to WES. They will direct you to the OBU shop. Simply sign up and purchase the Transcript copy (ACCA) for 15 pounds and send it to WES.

Although I already sent the e-mail mentioning the contents same as yours except that I included the fundamental, professional, membership certificates as-well. I didn't get any refusal via e-mail from ACCA anyway as yet for sending these certificates. Let's see.

I want to ask one last question. It is a bit off-topic. I have read the Express Entry system in detail. My confusion is regarding PNP. So my query is:-


1. Once we submit our EE profile in the pool, province can nominate us directly from there or we have to apply separately for PNP?
2. Can I submit EE Profile to federal CIC and then simultaneously lodge PNP application?

Please elaborate this a bit in detail if you can.

I am an ACCA member with MBA(2.4 yrs after bcom) from HEC apprv university. what LEVEL do you think WES will award me ?

Second, i have ielts 6.0 with 11 yrs relevant exp and i believe that it would be difficult for me to reach even 400 CRS points to compete in federal EE pool ? what do you say ?

What if i didn't reach to CRS draw but could i be attractable to provincial EE with 350 CRS points ?

Hi AB,

For ACCA membership you will get Four Years Bachelor but I am not sure about the MBA degree (possibly a bachelors equivalency).

You might want to improve your IELTS score to increase your CRS points. Anything below 400 probably will not get you an ITA in the short run. With 11 years of relevant experience you will get a Provincial nomination, so check the provincial nominations details first and then decide what to do.
