How to move cash from Saudi to Canada !

Dear fellows,

I want to move some cash from Saudi to my account in Canada. I have TD Canada Trust account, but when i went to western union with swift code and other details,...they couldn't trace my bank and said that this bank was not in their list. Al rajhi Taweel says that it will go via UK, will take a lot of time, and I have to bear transfer fees at three places, here in Saudi SAR 85, some unknown amount in UK and C$ 17.5 in Canada. And even after paying this much, there is no guarantee that money will reach my account, it may come back sometimes. Anyone who has wired money from Riyadh to Canada, pls share your experience. urgent

I just bought..per passenger 10k. u r allowed to bring more also but only thing is u need to declare.

and in your case u can mention this is settling amount for first 6 months according to law.

No, problem. Many people bring cash. Just need to declare them to the CBSA upon arrival.

You can bring that much cash, if you want. Just make sure to declare ALL of it. If you don't and they catch you with it. Say goodbye to it

The easiest way would be to open a Premier account with HSBC, which would allow you to instantly open accounts at HSBC locations internationally. You could then transfer funds between countries easily.

Otherwise, speak to any international bank in KSA about a wire transfer. It shouldn't be an issue.

Finally, if all else fails, bring a bank draft with you in CAD or USD and just deposit it into your TD account.
