Yes you can do it. I did the same for my mother in law and submitted the medical form via webform.

We kept the reason for visiting as “reunion with the families (daughters and their families) and touring the neighborhood and nearby scenic beauty. Duration is more than 6months. But my parents also working in the home country. So, we also presented the reason to return after some months. We need to document the ties with home country very well and clearly.

Any idea as to how long they take to send back the passport after it was submitted?

My mom sent her passport 3 weeks back and there hasn't been any updates yet, so trying to understand if this is normal.

My parents super visa was approved within few days, they sent their passports for stamping, now it has been 3 weeks and there has been no update. Can you please share how long they took to stamp the passports in your case?

My parents' passport was delivered to IRCC 3 weeks ago and there has been no update at all, so I guess thats the trend these days. Please update here if you get any update from IRCC, it would be helpful.

Either you get approved very quickly via mostly AI or it takes much longer to be manually reviewed. Your timeframe is normal for manual review.
