I called the call center because both my file and my dependent’s file have completed the background check. However, there is a medical exam outstanding for my dependent. The call center agent advised me that he should take the medical exam in advance. Have any of you heard about this?

"Hello dear friends, I have a question regarding the P1 and P2 emails. Do they require a digital photo from us?

When I submitted my PR application, they requested two photos, which I provided along with my documents. I was wondering if there is anything else they might ask for in the P1 and P2 emails. Should I take additional photos in advance to have them ready, or is the initial set of photos I submitted sufficient?"Could you please tell me what information or thing they may ask us in these 2 emails?

Ecopr may have to exceed the 90-day waiting period in April. Internal employees released the news that the federal government is preparing to lay off 50% of virtual landings. At the end of March, contracts with some employees will no longer be renewed, which means they will be laid off. There are still more than 10,000 people in the employee publicity pool waiting for the issuance of Ecopr. After the layoffs officially take effect, the wait is expected to exceed the current 90 days.

Exactly two years ago I submitted my PR online and last update was Feb 2024 receiving eligibility and pre arrival email. WTF IRCC employees are doing?

This is my status:

Review of eligibility

• We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Review of medical results

Review of additional documents

• We do not need additional documents.

Interview

• You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.

Biometrics

• We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.

Background check

• We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Final decision

• Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I called IRCC today the agent said everything has been completed but waiting for a decision to be made which is due by May 22, 2025. She also said last step was background check which was completed in January 20, 2025 but they never updated the GCKEY account. I hope you all receive some good news soon.

i also called them today and after a month it finally directed me to a human agent just to tell me that nothing has started yet haha..

In general they dont like to say nothing. When I have to chance to speak with an agent, they never release info. Just say is in process.

i know! i dont understand the point of them having this job? Like why are they being paid to say something we can see online ourselves?? This entire thing is a joke. I cant believe we have to wait this long for a PR card.

Eligibility
Criminality
Info sharing
However, the security check hasn’t even started yet.
She has very little travel history—just two trips to Turkey, one to Georgia, and a 7-day stay in Germany. How much longer might this stage take to complete?
In her GCMS notes, the security section is completely blank, with nothing written.

Security takes time. But as now it is close to the timeframe maybe don't take longer time. Good luck!

for security do they contact all countries you have visited also? i thought it was only countries you have lived in for more than 6 months.

I don't know how it works. Supposed they check with the five countries, US, Australia, UK, New Zealand and with Canada data base. That's what somebody told me.

1 year or more usually as there is no fixed criteria
