As per the current processing time of 137 days, we are past the timeline, hoping to get an update soon
Since we require my MIL to travel before Jan 20 as me and my wife are expecting, we tried contacting the MP office to expedite the application, but they said IRCC did not count it as an urgent situation.
Also, requested for GCMS notes to check the status and found that BGC, Eligibility, Medical, Biometrics are all passed, but waiting for final approval. This has been since 26 November.
Hi, I would suggest applying for the GCMS notes first to see what steps have been completed.
And once you have it, then you can decide whether to contact the MP based on your situation as well.

On the initial application for my MIL, we mistakenly mentioned wrong surname (she uses her father's name, but I mentioned my FIL name by mistake) on her insurance document and I had got it corrected and submitted via webform.
Has anyone had this situation before, we have not received an update yet. When we pushed the case through MP office they came back with a reply stating there was a issue with identity verification.
I have emailed the MP office again with the correct information. Hoping IRCC would accept the correction.

I too submitted for my mother on Aug 14th and my due date was Dec 10th, we requested through MP as well no update yet..waiting for final decision. I delivered my baby too, for final decision it's taking long.
