Hi Guys,

Can you share your Visitor Visa app timeline for November 2024 please? Applied Visitor visa for Parents and they do have valid US visa from past.

Visa Office - Chennai, India
November 06, 2024 - sent online application
November 07, 2024 - Biometrics Instruction Letter
November 11, 2024 - done with Biometrics
Status - In progress

Similar case. Applied visitor visa for my parents(They are in Chennai), and they have travelled to the united states in the past. Father still has a valid US Visa.

Nov 12 - Submitted online application.

Eligiblity completed on 11 Nov but still no email or anything. Overall application status is in process in tracker. Is that something to worry about?

Congratulations! Did you submit any Bank Statements for your parents or yourself?

Timelines for parents visit visa:
7-Nov : Application Submitted
11-Nov : Biometric done
15-Nov : Passport Request received
18-Nov : Passport Submitted
No update after that. Portal says application approved and need to send passport.

Anybody who got back passport can confirm what is the duration of visa granted?

Your biometrics was updated the next day you gave biometrics or was updated yesterday with the letter?

It got updated on the same day which is November 11th and just validity letter generated today along with PP request.

1. i have applied for visitor visa for my parents (November 12, 2024 ). at the time of submission i was asked to choose a principal applicant and it was mentioned that biometrics will be required only for the principal applicant.
2. after submission, i received the 'biometrics collection letter' for both the applicants (November 13, 2024)
3. completed biometrics for both the applicants on same day (November 18, 2024)
4. now, the principal applicant status got updated as 'Biometrics - November 18, 2024: Completed', but the non-principal applicant still has biometrics status as 'We need your fingerprints to process your application. Check your messages below for details.'

question- do i need to follow-up with CIC about the non-principal applicant's biometrics status. if yes- is there any other way to contact them rather than submitting the webform.

Since the Biometrics took for both applicants, it should get updated in both their profile.
