Received P1: Oct 28 (replied with all details and confirmed currently in Canada) from VO Montreal
Waiting for P2

Any insight on how long it takes?

Is it okay if I travel to the US this weekend by flight, and return by personal car (driving) in 3 weeks?

Between P1 and P2 you can safely travel . When you get your P2 , you will have 7 days to reply but you should be in Canada . So I suggest you delay your confirmation on P2 in case it comes while you are in US . In that case you can come back either via Car or flight

Oh, you really answered my question that I asked many times in different forums! Do you know if we're required to report such a travel to IRCC, or is there any reference/link I can learn from? Thanks a lot!

Hey, I'm in the same boat. I'm going to travel to the US early next week and come back immediately when I get P2.

Thanks so much, super helpful!

One quick clarification: After getting P2, we get 7 days or 14 days to respond? I read it used to be 14 days, but has that changed to 7 days now?

I did the same and travelled between P1 and P2 by air . Delayed my P2 response until I was back in Canada . There is no link that even I could find as well but I did consult our company's immigration lawyer prior to travelling .
