There are still no BIL for November FSW-O???
*Cries in Dec AOR FSW-O*
IRCC is processing eligibility and background check before BIL is being issued. Not getting a BIL as fast shouldn't be a concern given that. It used to be an issue when eligibility and background check had to be done only after MEP/BIL.
AOR 18 November
Bill 10 January
Booked biometric on 24th Jan
Can't open gckey account yet.

If I may ask, are you sure about this? Some PNP inlands are getting their eligibility pre checked but I don't really think it's the norm, at least not yet. Some early October fsws called ircc and were told that their files haven't called the R10 stage. Maybe they may preclear some files for eligibility but unfortunately I do not believe that it's standard practice.

There are cases going back as much as July 2023 where BIL was sent after 3-4 months but application was being processed(even for outland, non PNPs). I don't believe any process is static, but for now it is something that we see.

Well I really hope you're right. It's only fair to get eligibility precleared before doing a medical exam and giving biometrics. I wish they would tell applicants their true status though. Let's see what happens!

It is not the usual standard practice that we are used to. But a lot has received eligibility passed before the BIL and Medical request.

You might be right. If not, what was the point to state that MED will be after their signal? It means that something should be done before that by them.

We can hope for sure! But one thing Marc Miller has been saying consistently is that they will improve speeds and visibility with these client programs, hopefully in the future AOR cohorts, we will have a wildly different experience with little to no confusion.
One major change from 2021-22(and pre-covid) to 2023 was that application processing timelines improved significantly. PR tracker also improved visibility. While they might seem to be a minor improvements, they were still a good change, hopefully the trend will continue in 2024 cohorts will continue to find applying for PR and tracking much easier
