Can someone please advise
if we have to apply for passport after getting the certificate or can I travel on my Indian Passport and apply Canadian passport from a different country.
Do we have to surrender the Indian passport as we get the citizenship certificate.
I had only used my phone until now , I’ll try different device after reaching home , my oath is scheduled for January 8 but have not got any invitation until now , also no oaths showing for British Columbia under find ur citizenship ceremony
scheduled for Jan 08, no emails yet. Not even sure if its virtual ceremony.
Checked today, still no updates since LPP was completed on Nov 2. With my luck, I'm pretty sure my oath will get scheduled right in the middle of the trip I've been planning for a year and a half, lol.

December 5, 2023 - test shows as completed
November 26, 2023 - took the citizenship test
November 26-December 26, 2023 - rescheduled for citizenship test
September 5-26, 2023 - scheduled to take citizenship test (I didn't receive notification about this)

Will you surrender the previous passport before you travel? Or can you travel without doing the process with BLS and do it later?

If you travelling on evisa, there is no need to surrender passport but if you want to with entry visa or OCI you would need SC for it.
Is there anyone waiting for oath ceremony invitation on 8 January,2024 from British Columbia ?

congratulations, it took you 4 month, not a lot of patience needed haha
That's nothing bro. You are lucky that your application wasn't in the Scarborough office. People are waiting at least 4 months just for their LPP to be completed.
Actually, your application is super fast. You can check May/June threads, people are still waiting after their tests so don't say "Long wait".

I surrendered my Indian passport the next day (Dec 22) at BLS. The process was easy, Took me about 1hr. Went to the Surrey BLS office expecting a long line. Surprisingly there was no one. Hardly 10 people outside.
If you’re planning to travel to India then you will have to surrender your Indian passport before travel and apply for an evisa, to avoid any penalties. The application process is quick and easy, they will send you the decision within 2 days.

Haha thanks.
