Date of application: 25 th October ( Toronto walk- in)
Date of acknowledgement: 28th November
Status: Under process
I noticed BLS is asking for original passport of spouse for verification.
Can I apply for OCI with copy of my spouse's passport ? (if she is not in the country)?
@forw.jane@bulls23 and any of the ottawa clan: So the OCI was received at ottawa today and I checked on the BLS tracking that the last scan date is also for today, however the status in BLS is still "Processing at high commission" Is this normal? does the status change later in the day? I have opted for pickup at BLS Montreal. Thanks!

If postal, no originals required. If walk-in, for spousal passport copy should be enough -- that's what I gave, no originals. Also upload it to the online OCI application.

yes it is postal application at Toronto. so here when they say "under processing" is that BLS that is processing? does that mean there is still a chance that BLS can send it back showing some errors etc ?thanks for answering
My application status on BLS shows "processing at CGI" but when i check the OCI tracker website, it says "no such record found". Does it take time for the OCI website to update their status? Keeping in mind that the BLS site showed this status change only today.
The OCI process is hopelessly long. BLS Brampton received on October 16 and sent it to consulate on October 25. Until today there has been no status update on the oci site. Can't understand why the delay is so much.
