So don’t lose hope if you haven’t received mail in 4-5 days for me it took 10 days.

Hoping to get email soon as I have a flight booked for Dec02. Do you think I will get ‘passport is with agent’ email by Monday Nov 20?

Hi- I need some advice.

my flight ticket is on Nov 23. I applied for OCI on October 10, acknowledgement date is Nov 1.

I applied for Entry Visa by Postal on Oct 31. BLS unfortunately screwed up (could not find app, delays in postal generally etc) and it got sent to the consulate on Nov 16. Since then it's been under processing at Consulate. BLS did say this is marked as high priority but it still took them 3 full days to get it to the consulate.

I am located at Toronto. Do I have any chance to get my flight? Can I collect my passport directly from the consulate? It usually moves the nextday, but mine has not,is there a way to call the consulate to track? thanks for the help!

OCI: The earliest you can get processed update is Nov 22nd (Nov 21st afternoon if lucky). Your best chance is to hope for that to happen and pickup OCI from CGI Toronto on Nov 22 (Wednesday) during the open house. There is no point in calling the consulate before the processed update happens as they cannot expedite it. But sign up for the open house on 22nd in any case.
Visa: If its in the consulate on 16th you could get it processed on 20th and pickup from BLS the next day. Calling or visiting the consulate may help.

Even if you do not get confirmation, go to open house. They allow walk-in unless its too busy.

Hi- need some advice on passport surrender and OCI application.

Is it possible to initiate the passport surrender and OCI application procedures for India while outside of Canada?
I've received my Canadian passport in October and I'm currently in USA. Can I start the process for surrendering my passport and application for OCI from the nearest Indian Consulate in USA ?
